Wait... Dean Winchester/Lorelai? Oh hell yes. Dean Forester had a crush on her, but it would never happen. Winchester, OTOH? Fuck yeah, that'd be a hot pairing.
In fact, I once made up this cracky crossover with my sister where the boys had to investigate in SH and of course the first place they went was Luke's because Dean and his cheeseburgers and pie. After the initial inevitable confusion with Dean/Sam, they ended up splitting into two pairs. Dean had a movie night with Lorelai and they fell asleep on the couch. Rory slept with (in the literal sense) Sam at the Dfly, and there was more confusion in the middle of the night when he thought she was Jess (Moore) and she thought he was Dean (Forester) and it was funny because of the names.
Haha, well, I'd actually meant Dean Forester/Lorelai (personally, I thought Dean and Rory had the chemistry of two cardboard boxes, while Dean and Lorelai had an immense amount of chemistry...of all sorts, if you catch my drift), but Dean Winchester/Lorelai would be an interesting pairing, too. I hadn't considered it before, but now perhaps I should!
I liked Dean and Rory in early first season, in a hi-you're-cute-sure-I'll-date-you type way. But I definitely agree about the chemistry between Dean and Lorelai. Somewhere out there (check BWR if yhou're interested) there's a fic called "Thank God for Aprons." I just think that he'll always be a kid to her, so I saw it as fairly one-sided.
Yeah, they were cute the first season. Then it all kinda went to hell in a handbasket. Not to mention the Dean character assassination that went on circa S4/S5.
I feel like I should know it, but what's BWR? I'd love to read that fic; any D/L fic, really, since there's very few out there. I sincerely doubt the pairing would have ever happened in canon or whatever, but hey, that's what fic is for. ;)
