The only thing is, I don't think Sirius would be that irresponsibe, even drunk. I can see him sneaking out, he's not responsible or cautious either, but not inviting someone who could be a DE for all they know back into the HQ. Though I guess he was still drunk, so maybe that explains it. :)
Still, I really liked it - interesting how you have Sirius relate to Remus and Tonks.

Glad you liked it :D.

but He wondered how she’d break up with him. Was she a shouter? The kind of girl who’d throw something at him?
That passage made Tonks in my head literally snort. ("If you think it takes THIS little to break up with you, Remus Lupin, well you think you're getting off the hook WAY too easy!")
*will post more when I finish reading*

If only Remus knew that, he'd probably be a bit less panicky ;).

Ahem. Absolutely wonderful read. Made me laugh, and I'm recommending it to people >.> and it made my breath catch in the end with Sirius' realisation.
I absolutely love it. And I think Sirius would just be that reckless (though he must've had quite a bit of firewhiskey, and quite a bit of hangover too, to miss the fact that Remus pointed out). When reading, I could just imagine, visually, what was happening, and I loved the way you guided my imaginatio to achieve that.
Well done, and thank you for writing it!!
And? I don't think Remus ever gets fully rid of insecurities, but generally Tonks always, always tries to show that she's not quitting. 'cause? She isn't. And at one point the Remus I'm RP'ing made a post where he said (to somebody a lot younger who asked if he still doubted if it was right to be with Tonks):
I do feel selfish, ( ... )

I always picture their relationship very much with Remus in a perpetual panic, half expecting it to go wrong, and Tonks continually surprising him by not dumping him - and of course Sirius sitting on the sidelines, wondering how on earth Remus got the girl and he didn't.
Glad you liked it.

I am going to die of laughter, and it's not even 7 AM yet. Oh my, the way he just thinks that about himself so off-the-cuff...and even better, it's probably not even true, lol.
This is really a great little fic, and even though it's hilarious, it's sad, too. I think you really do hit on something serious that's not often touched on in R/T fic, with Sirius being a bit tortured by Remus falling in love right in front of his eyes, and it does make me wonder about the timing of the breakup and if there's possibly a bit of guilt in there for Remus about whether he'd made it worse for Sirius or possibly in some way shirked the greater good by indulging his personal life...It'd be an interesting aspect to explore. And I'm going to close and say "great job," since I just mistyped that sexplore.
Thanks for a great morning read.

I always think Sirius is so fascinating as a POV character because of the way he must think - it's huge fun to have him think things about himself that sound completely ridiculous, and yet he doesn't know it.
I think there's great potential for him to feel immensely left out and not a little jealous - after all, he's the good-looking one, shouldn't he be the one with the young, attractive girlfriend? I think it's a multi-layered thing too, because having been in prison for so long, maybe he'd feel as if they should both be interested in spending time with him rather than each other. I think there's more to his mood in OoTP than just being locked at Grimmauld.
Anyway, glad you liked :D.

Amusing aspects aside, Remus and Tonks are very sweet here, and I like how your Sirius is capable of being sappy (at the end of the story) even if it's just inside his head.
Why can't R/T -- or Sirius, for that matter -- do some kind of charm to block out the noise? ;)
One major point I wondered about: I thought only Dumbledore can let people into headquarters, no matter how much Sirius may want to do so himself, because D is the secret keeper? The story was too well done for me to dislike it about this one point, but it might be nice to have an explanation for it...

At one point, Remus did ask Sirius how he even managed to get a banshee in the place, but it didn't so much hold up the pace as a wave a neon sign shouting 'here's the exposition, folks!!' so I cut it - but the explaination I came up with was that whilst Sirius couldn't bring her in through the front door (because he'd need Dumbledore for that), he could maybe Floo in with her as a guest (side-along Flooing, or something), using the word 'home' rather than anything that would give away what the place really was. Potentially shaky, but I figured Sirius had enough time on his hands to figure something out ;).
Glad you liked :D.

Marvellous. Thoroughly enjoyed this in my lunchtime - a welcome distraction from marking. :)

Whenever I hear 'Stay With Me' I always think of Sirius - maybe because I think if he'd lived, he could well have turned into a Rod Stewart, with a string of younger wives and too tight trousers, lol.
