I love that what got him to say something complimentary/hinting of feelings to her was that she was vulnerable and feeling bad - that's how I'd imagine he would've admitted it to her, rather than for his own pleasure. And I had a twinge of aw! when he said it was his birthday.

This is really sweet, and a lot of fun.

I loved this line:

“I don’t believe I’ve had enough Firewhiskey for that kind of talk, Remus,” she added with a bit of cheek, trying to get her heart rate back to normal., and Remus' response is just perfect.

Incidently, no idea if everyone else is seeing the same as me when viewing this, but LJ has done something weird. I'll have a word with our tech elf and see if we can get it sorted :).

Very entertaining story and I think you wrote the characters remarkably well. Loved the little comment about Hufflepuff courage. Now all I want to know is what Sirius gave Remus for his birthday...

You know you've stopped this in the most tantalising place ever!

I liked the idea of Scrimgeour making Tonks write her own family tree entry and Remus turning on the charm. I also am very intrigued by what Sirius gave him, and, well, what happens on this walk home.

Can you be persuaded to continue? ;)
