In an act of rebellion against the voice she really didn't want to hear right now, she caught Remus' face in her hands and kissed him more intently, raking her teeth over his lower lip in the way he liked, which coaxed a low sound of approval and a little more passion from him in return.

Much better than listening to voices in her head that try to make her think of anything other than happy thoughts of kissing him (and other things, but kissing for now) :D

Though I do love her thoughts on past Christmases and what Remus' house means to her. You've always made it seem like a nice safe haven but her thoughts make it go even deeper than that. I like that a lot.

"I want to open my pressies."

Poor Remus. What a way to break the mood. HAHAHAHA
Glad he likes the idea. And love how he showed his Marauder side with the idea too :)

"--before deciding to put your investment toward a product line called Common Room Quidditch -- So You Don't Feel Like a Prat For Not Making Your House Team."

hahaha gotta love the twins! Definitely something they would do too.

Like the pink ceramic piggy bank, hand-painted with flowers and flourishes in a rainbow of colours -- hand-painted by him because, The one I modelled it after was a very plain blue pattern on a white background, and not nearly enough colour to represent the Patronus of Nymphadora Tonks.

Aw! That's so awesome of him. He's such a sweetheart.

"The books were Sirius' idea!"

"Actually, he suggested private lessons in the Shrieking Shack because of the risk and Ultimate Umbridge Annoyance factors--"

I was going to say...Sirius thought of BOOKS? His idea DOES sound a lot more fun. hahaha

"Remus pressies are always so great that I've wondered if there was a Great Gifts class at Hogwarts in the '70s that you got an O in."

Aww! :) that's funny, thinking of there being a class like that though. Remus knows his girlfriend well, that's ALWAYS a good thing :D

"I only see five, and last I checked, it was an odd--"

"Trust me, git, there are six, and yours has got to be the very last thing."

"Has it now? How very intriguing."

HAHA I love the idea of hiding his last gift. And that she insists that it's the last thing that's opened. It's just real funny that Remus just sits there and goes "how intriguing" I can see him saying that calmly but having a fun glint in his eyes.

though Remus had been forced to cut back, her Christmas gifts always included something star-themed in honour of the stars-spangled Wellies she'd been wearing the first time they met

Little details. That's why Remus is so awesome because he notices those little details and builds on them. That's adorable.

Tonks gaped at him, then at the Glow Stars. "Blimey! They do that without Spellotape or Lumos Charms?"

Hehe, you know, even *I'm* amazed at some things we come up with. Glow stars...HOW DO THEY GLOW? I did always want to know that. That's great that Tonks is totally amazed by it too.

Not to mention he was running his fingers over the cover, thumbing through it, inhaling the new book scent.

I can definitely see him doing that. And new book scent is awesome. Sometimes.
And he does deserve the new book, not a second hand one.

If you can see where your clothes lie, you're living in a pigsty!

Perfect for Tonks, I'm sure! That's too cute and too funny.

her second gift to him was an expandable file, such as they used in the Auror office to replace his currently very appalling system, even to her, of stacks of parchment on every free surface of his bedroom. It had a roving eye, like Mad-Eye's, which saw when a paper was not filed and shouted a department catchphrase that had tormented her during her first year on the squad: Constant vigilance applies to parchments!

That's so cool! And it's really cool they were thinking on the same wavelength. The different "secret" folders are real nifty too.

She hadn't expected an engagement ring.

She'd known it would be a new rune charm for her bracelet.

She'd just been so sure it would be Othila, Rune of Home, Hearth, and Family -- not Mannaz, Rune of Humanity.

Mmhmm. Well...erm...at least she wasn't completely disappointed?

I wanted you to have a symbol of the Order on your charm bracelet, because the Order will, undoubtedly, shape you, and change you. It already has done. I am so proud of you, and so honoured, to stand up beside you against Voldemort. And I am so humbled to have your love."

Aw. That's perfect. *looks at the Runes page* That's a perfect Rune for him to get her at that time (other than the Othila one, that is ;)).

"Okay," said Remus, drawing the word out, pitched high at the end in a slight question. "But only because I'm sure it would take a good deal longer than five minutes for a werewolf to die of curiosity, and I've got The Kappa of Kent to pass the time."

HAHAHA I would hope so! And nothing like a good book to pass the time.

Okay...on to the next part. I promise I'll read it by the end of the night!
