Sorry for taking so long to reply to this, but obviously it's kept me grinning like an idiot while I've kept you waiting. ;)

It's very reassuring to read you got as much out of it as you did because it feels like an 'Almost' Fic to me. I had quite a few ambitious ideas for it, and some of them got decidely rushed in the race to get it done in time (I only have myself to blame for not writing shorter stories;)). Then there was the fact that I couldn't do my normal obsessed tweaking for hours on end, which was very distressing to me, to put it mildly!

I'm really glad you liked the feel of it, as that was one of the bits I didn't get much time to play around with, and was worried I'd crossed the thin line between quirky, dreamy madness and ... just plain madness. And you seem to have picked up on the bits I hoped would come across so many thanks for that, especially for liking the characterisations as I did enjoy doing those. Other!Remus was fun as well; I liked the idea of Remus himself being greatly irritated by this person, and then having to listen to everyone praise him up for the same qualities he has.

I thought you and ladybracknell might appreciate the Remus and Lily might-have-been moment - obviously, I'm getting some early practice in. ;)
