Thanks very much to Coop, one of my fellow students, for beta-reading...
Kind of a sequel to my first entry, Out In The Street. Was supposed to be much longer, but the longer version on which I had been working for weeks, was becoming more and more stupid and I would probably not have finished that…so I started over.
The game mentioned is supposed to be a wizarding version of Trivial Pursuit, and the song on the radio is based on Brenda Lee’s “Winter Wonderland.”

The evening had, so far, been rather enjoyable, although not what they both had expected when coming to Headquarters earlier. They had anticipated some time alone and had, instead, been immediately taken into a game of Magical pursuit which had just been beginning when they entered the kitchen. Now, after three hours of answering more or less interesting questions, they had been able to escape before the next round started, and had slipped upstairs into the room they usually shared whenever staying overnight.

“That was a nice way to spend the evening, wasn’t it?” Remus asked, undoing his shoes.
“Easy for you to say.” Tonks answered. “You won. But most importantly, it was not quite the game I had imagined for us tonight.”
“You want to play another game?” he teased. “Well, I could still go downstairs and nick the game, then come back here and play another round…”
“Don’t you…if anyone asks me another obscure question about what stupid treaties strange nations made a few hundred years ago, or about what creatures living somewhere on a small island had for breakfast…I think I’ll run away screaming.
I rather meant the kind of game only two can play. The one without cards or a board.”
“Hmm…I think I know that game.” He pointed his wand at the old radio in the corner, which started to play some stupid sketch, and then went to lie on the bed beside her.
“Is that your idea of a romantic setting? A comedy about muggles doing their shopping?” she asked playfully.
“Well, you know, I tried my best to get some nice music instead, but they wouldn’t let me take over the radio station. Now, what about this game you were talking about?”
He turned towards her, and for a few minutes, they were too busy kissing each other that neither spoke a word. But then, a new song started on the radio in the background…a Christmas song.

…in the meadow we’ll conjure a snowman
And then turn him into Parson Brown
He’ll say are you married we’ll say…

Remus smiled at his love lazily, one hand intertwined in her hair: “Is that more romantic, what do you think?”
“Well, let’s see…” She pretended to think about this carefully. “Snow and marriage are very romantic, but I am unsure about the aspect of a former snowman as a parson, who is later even turned into a clown. What I am sure of, however, is that this radio is distracting us.”
She reached for her wand, flicking it in the direction of the radio, and the rest of the evening was spent in silence, playing the game.
