Midsummer Tales Awards!
Yes, it's award time! And we know you've been waiting very patiently for quite some time now, but if we could just delay you for a couple of paragraphs...
Firstly, and most importantly, congratulations are due to everyone who took part and made the event a success. There's fewer of us now as the HP fandom shrinks, and we're well aware that for every person whose day may be brightened by receiving an award, another couple of you may be disappointed. As always, we hope the award winners will know that these are really worth having as they were very hard to win, and that those who didn't quite win this time know they were the ones who made them that way.
We obviously weren't the only ones finding it hard to choose: we weren't kidding when we said the voting was close in the community awards in both fic and art. In the fic, we finally ended up with a three-way tie at the top for the overall members' favourite, and a two-way tie for the runner-up position. So, participation numbers may be down slightly, but the standard, effort and enthusiasm for our favourite pairing certainly wasn't. And we very much hope you'll all be back soon to inspire us once again and give us so much to enjoy. :)
