The end of July may be nigh, but the good news is that there are still almost ten days left to finish your art and fics and post them to the community. I am having no luck! I have a good idea, but it takes so much explanation and background and all that, that it would really work better as part of a chaptered story. And I have another idea, too, but I don't think it fits my prompt well enough!

I am trying, though...

Oh, I hope you get a breakthrough with the first idea. If not, we're pretty flexible with the prompts and all for them being used in imaginative ways, if that helps?! :)

In case anyone knocks duck_or_rabbit down in a dark alley and runs off with her word prompt? It's not me. Just saying.

(I'm plodding along -- hoping to be done by Monday. What? Early? Yes, for a change.)

I've done about 500 words of mine and know exactly what I want to write, but alas I'm discovering the first trimester really isn't the time to try and get anything done! I'm hopefully I can finish something short and sweet, if only I can get a decent night's sleep and/or not be nauseous for one blessed day!

ETA: 947 words now! This might just happen, after all!

You must rectify this situation at once!

"Plodding along" is a good description of my current progress, despite my best efforts at self-lubrication. (and that came out dirtier than I had intended!) I'm trying something a bit different and, although it seemed brilliant when I wrote the first paragraph in my head at Meeting (which shows what a good Quaker I am), 'tis proving somewhat difficult to follow through with.

Plus, this morning I realized how well my prompt would work at a completely different point in DH. grrrrr.

LOL! I suppose I could, but I'm currently staying in a college dorm ("conference housing") and don't exactly have a supermarket nearby. (I could go out for a glass, I suppose, but I've been eating out for lunch and dinner every day this week...starts to add up!)

Yep...I kept drifting to my mental outline for mine yesterday when one of the seminars I was in started to drag a little. Heh.

Grrr on fic muses not cooperating. But now I'm intrigued by your "something a bit different" -- hope you can make it work.
