It's Monday; prompts have been up for a week - that means only one thing: it's time for Midsummer Tales to be told. Posting access is open!
Before we get to the details of posting, in proper Meta tradition, we have some icons for you. Feel free to take as many or as few as you wish.
Please don't hotlink and please credit
metamorfic_moon.

Boring but Important
Before you try to post an entry, please acquaint or re-acquaint yourselves with the posting format:
Firstly, you have from now until August 8th to post your fic(s) or art using the prompts you were given (and gave yourselves;)). If you’re new to Meta, please make sure that you’ve joined the community as a member, otherwise we can’t grant you posting access and we don’t want your first post to be a lot more difficult than it should be.
Posting Guidelines:
All fic posts must include the following header:
Title:
Author:
Rating & Warnings:
Prompts:
Word Count:
Summary:
Author’s Notes:
Or if you’re an artist:
Title:
Artist:
Rating & Warnings:
Prompts:
Medium:
Summary: (if desired)
Artist's Notes:
In the prompt section, please let us know which prompt you've used, or if you've used both.
Bear in mind that any warnings, summaries and author's notes need to be rated PG-13 or lower, otherwise it sort of defeats the object. ;) Also the warnings and ratings are there for a purpose - we know we have quite a few younger members, which is great, but please refrain from commenting on a fic/art if you choose to ignore those warnings and read or look at something not appropriate for your age.
Post the body of the fic/art under a LJ Cut. Rich Text Mode is distinctly unreliable when it comes to trying to post the precious fic that you've slaved over for hours - in fact, most, if not all, problems we've encountered when posting have been when people have tried to post in rich text with tags, so we recommend you use Plain Text Mode and have far fewer tension headaches. We've got two graphics under the cuts to show you step-by-step what that entails if you're unfamiliar with it, and they're
here and
also here. Tagging
Please tag each entry with your username, genre(s) and if your art has a genre(s), please use that tag, too. Two-thirds of your mods are Brits (and we’ve forced the other one to adopt our evil, extra letter spelling ways) so the humour tag does include the U. Artists, please also tag your posts with 'art'. If this is your first Meta event and you don't have a user tag, please let us know and we will sort that out for you.
We’d love every one of you, if you would all also use the tag midsummer tales. :)
We'd like to request that you do not post your fics/art elsewhere until the event is over, so that they can all be seen here together while it’s going on. You may, of course, post a link from your own journal.
One final administrative point:
caiticanda,
duck_or_rabbit and
xiaozhen, you have not joined as members of the community and we cannot give you posting access until you have done this. Please, if you are planning to take part, join ASAP so that it's not left to a last minute panic.
Watchers, members, participants and lurkers - we'd all love you to read, look at and review the creative efforts that are going to be posted over the coming weeks. Feedback is always appreciated by the authors and artists, and it really does make everyone’s hard work worthwhile.
If you have any questions at all, please leave a comment to this post or email us at metamorficmoon@gmail.com.
Lots of luck, inspiration, and, hopefully, not too much perspiration(!), and we can’t wait to see all of your midsummer efforts for this, the tenth event, at
metamorfic_moon!.:D
