I never really thought about how Andromeda and Tonks would have dealt with the way Ted left them. I guess that is a bit odd given how horrified I was at Remus temporarily deciding to leave. Anyhow, I like the way you brought that up here. All of their reactions seem realistic to me ( ... )

Thanks for reading and commenting! I'm really glad you like this and that it brought some new ideas to mind in regard tot he larger story going on with Tonks and her family. And I'm personally such a sucker for pregnancy!fic (and don't feel there's enough of it!) so I'm thrilled you like the way Remus is here in ( ... )

Well, there's the problem: I got in my head that he was born in April. The description in your story sounded more like that of a woman around 7 months pregnant, so you can see why I found some bits confusing or surprising. When in doubt about reconciling the numbers, I agree: blame JKR.

Drat! But thanks much for the info. Personally I like a March birth for Teddy because it gives them more time to be parents before...well, let's not talk about that, shall we? And it let's Tonks be bigger at Christmas time, lol.

Oh, I didn't mean that as a criticism. The depiction didn't quite work with the timeline I originally had in mind, but if Teddy was born in early March then it works just fine, actually more than fine - it was a lovely and realistic depiction of a pregnancy at that stage. I enjoyed it the first time even though I wondered about the timeline, and enjoyed it even more when rereading it after seeing your responses.

Oh, no criticism taken, and even if you did mean it as concrit that's always cool! I'm very anal about details and like to get it right! And actually I was wrong, Teddy was born in April, I just checked DH. Hm...

So let's say... Tonks got big somewhat early compared to the usual. Then the waddling, stretch marks, and other things that come with being big can happen early. And if the placenta is attached in back, then movements can usually be felt in front a bit earlier than average. There, that works just fine, and Ron even agrees with this idea. :)

Or, let her be one of those "lucky" women who goes three weeks past her EDD. Then she was due in March, which also works fine though it's a bit cruel to poor Tonks.

Anyhow, I know what you mean about the details, considering that I'm a detail-oriented person myself. But while I thought it was worth asking about, it would be a bit silly to let a detail like this that is vague in canon make you unhappy about a fic that really is lovely. It made me miss being pregnant myself.

Actually conversing instead of just responding is a PITA without an LJ. Maybe I should get one just for reviewing.

Oh, I definitely won't let it spoil my feelings about the fic, thanks for saying. We'll just go with getting big fast -- after all, Bill tells Ron she's big at Christmas time! Maybe those Lupin babies are big 'uns!

I always support the getting of LJs. They're great fun. ;)

Thanks again for all your lovely words.

I'm a total nerd for responding to such an old comment, and for my choice of ID (note the shiny, new LJ account), but I just had to come back to reread this lovely fic... and laugh at my comment about missing being pregnant. Two days after I typed that, I started with the symptoms, and it turns out that I was, in fact, pregnant at the time. :)
