Is there a Doctor (Potemkin) in the house?

I am possibly going to try and buy one this afternoon (yes, the weather at the Edgbaston cricket ground is a factor).
I don't know much about any of the brands to go for or avoid, or if there are even different features which matter. I am likely to just want to use it for listening to Test Match Special when I am not at home. So small, cheap, light, robust and good reception when moving are all positives, but no need for wonderful sound fidelity.
Know anything?
