Idle time before upcoming holidays
This weekend is deliciously idle - very little on my schedule, and it's all in preparation for my upcoming holiday time with my kids late next week.
Originally, Monday was to be my only workday next week, but my management has managed to sneak in what will prove to be a very intense day, Wednesday, in the corporate HQ in Seattle (since I will be over on that side of the state starting Monday night after work), and a competitive analysis presentation there on Thursday morning as well.
Starting mid-day on Thursday (after meetings all morning at corporate HQ in Seattle), I will retrieve my own children from SeaTac airport and we will drive over to Ocean Shores, WA for nearly a week at the beach. We plan day trips down to Portland, and, perhaps, Tillamook or some such.
