Long Beach Lies

The last day of Warped Tour was surreal-as expected. We woke up, burshed our teeth, and went through the last day of our warped-morning routine. Load in went well and the weather that day was just perfect-not too hot and a little bit of overcast. Jessy TAI (my old co-worker from last year), Claudia, and Jessy’s friend Chris came to do work and hang out. To my surprise, Yassi, a good friend of mine from northern California who digs the Metal, came to surprise me. It was amazing seeing her and it just renewed my faith in the phrase “meant to be.” Yassi came with her friend Kristine from Maine. She is very nice too. We all had dinner on my bus and later they helped carry my luggage to Jesse’s borther’s van. Let me tell you this-I have sooooo much shit. I’m not even sure how I’m going to get it all home. I have heaps of clothes and little nick nacks. I think I’m going to go back through my luggage and throw away some random shit I’ll never use or want. For example, a maraca that Christina gave me. What the fuck will I do with a maraca?

The first night on the floor at Jesse’s home was fine. I’m used to the withdrawl from a bus. Kurt and Jesse were not so well off. This was their first tour so leaving their “home” for the last two months was hard. My lower back is killing me.

On Sunday, I saw Super Bad with Jesse and Kurt. I have to say the move is amazing. It’s not all that shocking cause I feel that the convos they have are similar to ones I would have. It’s weird to see nerds/hornballs being generalized as cool because when I was in high school being really weird and hornifed got you no where.

After, we borrowed Jesse’s little brother’s car and drove to hang out with our warped tour friend, Rachel, and some of her friends. It was okay. I’m not into talking about warped tour the way that first year people do. Also, these people that we were hanging with had wrist bands and were only on for a little bit of the tour. That’s another reason why I can’t listen to their convos-in my eyes they were not even on the tour.

On Monday, we went to the bank to deposit the last of the FBR money, ate at Chronic Taco, and went to Seal Beach where we met up with Jessy TAI and Chris. It was really windy so it wasn’t as nice as previous Cali beach stops. The water was warm and it was good times.

After that, we went home and got ready for dinner with Erin (recycling) and Riley (Thrice). We met at PF Chengs in Long Beach at 8ish. Friends, it was the greatest time. Good convos, great friends, and stellar food. My favorite thing to get there is the great wall of chocolate.  It’s a big piece of light choco cake with this raspberry sauce. Mmmmmm soooo good.

Okay, like every other dude on the warped tour, I have a huge crush on Erin Fucking Goreski. She’s like the perfect girl: She loves treats, has a million dollar personality, is goal oriented (however, she has no idea what she’s going to do after college), and finally, she is super hot. We are good friends and will continue to be that while I’m New York.

Let’s talk about girls. As of the last two days of tour, I’ve been texting and talking to a girl I know from Denver, Sangeetha. She’s super hot and super cute. I don’t know her all that well, but she seems thrilled that we are talking and exchanging conversation. She’s someone I could date while living in New Mexico because it’s feasible. She is Indian with a dot if you didn’t already know.

I talked about Yassi earlier. Understand that if lived near her I would date her and marry her-end of story.

When I move to NYC I’m going to try to date Jen’s roommate Lauren. She’s a cutey and seems to be tons of fun. She’s also really particular in who she chooses to date and how treats her body. I respect that. She would be enough of a reason to stay trapped in NYC.

Speaking of NYC, I leave for my internship in like a week or so. I’m excited about it. I’m also scared because I don’t have a place to live yet; however I will be living with Jen with a heart until I find a place, which should only take a few weeks. I’m going to sublet until I either find a job or … get stuck in any of the common ways people do get stuck in NYC.

NEW DAVE GAHAN!
