we fiiiinally got around to transplanting our amazingly huge amaranth plants that have been sitting in a container on the porch for forever. they're in the garden now! next to our tomatoes! yay! they currently look Very Sad due to the trauma of late transplanting, but i'm hopeful that they'll pull through.
we pulled some old wire fencing out of the forest and made tomato cages too, so now those hopefully also won't die.
that's my goal for this year's garden... i'm not expecting a huge amount of awesome produce. i just want some parts of it to not die. admirable goal i think, for someone notoriously black thumbed.
