So, in some MIRACULOUS way, I ended up with a B+ in both Latin and Greek. I say miraculous because for my Greek final? I got a 44 out of 60 and somehow that's a B+. Um, 18% curves? Right on.
Also, Latin sucks hardcore and I NEVER HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN EVER. Cicero is FAIL, and I hate him. For a guy who stuttered, he could stand to put some pauses in his speeches, you know? (Speaking of Cicero,
wizened_cynic wrote me an amazing Cicero/Marc Antony MIDDLE SCHOOL AU ficlet.
here. There are so many Classics in-jokes! And it makes me hate Cicero a little less, which is quite an accomplishment.)
All of this has brought down my GPA .13 points, though. Oh, fail me.
Speaking of me and fail, regarding the whole major/minor issue I was dealing with earlier, I think I finally figured everything out. I'm keeping my Poli Sci major, and downgraded my Classics major to a Greek minor (who would have thought I'd end up picking GREEK over Latin, I mean really). I also added a philosophy minor. If everything works out (knock on wood), I will be out of undergrad by May '10 with a major and two minors.
Also today was the first day of the Spring quarter, woo. I'm taking a philosophy class, and a poli sci class on the European Union. Shouldn't be too difficult, but probably a lot of reading.
In other, non-school news, I've been mainlining Criminal Minds lately and it's such an fantastic show. I'm amazed there exists a procedural crime show I actually ENJOY. I love all the characters so much. Except Rossi, who is FAIL and STUPID and NOT GIDEON. And apparently many of my friends watch CM, so it's nice having a show I can talk to people about again. I've gotten to watch season 4 with
spoonerknife, which is fun times.
I've also gotten
bitter_crimson addicted to it, and I literally had to go over to zir apartment last night at 1 am to watch an episode where Reid gets hurt to hold zir hand. Then we ended up watching three more episodes, and I didn't get home until 5:30 am. Oops?
The Dollhouse finale is this Friday, and I'm excited, but a little apprehensive. I have this sinking feeling relatively few questions will be answered, and more will be set up for the next season. A season we will likely not get. Cry.
