So. Let me tell you about my classes.

Latin: So we're still doing 3 authors, but apparently Caesar won't be one. Instead we are doing the Aeneid. Again. I just did this shit, IDEK. Whatever, it's easier than what we could be doing. Although, this Latin class is much harder than last term's. The teacher actually expects me to KNOW THINGS. We took a diagnostic test the first day, and hahaha, she arranged a meeting to talk about how bad I suck. Oops? Whatever, I was just rusty and it's better now.

Chinese Communism: So this class was called "Evolution of Communism" and I was thinking it'd be more theoritical/philosophical. Instead, our first class the teacher is all like "I didn't pick that name, and it's not what the class is about." Um? It still seems pretty interesting though - we're basically learning about all the different aspects of Chinese policy both in a domestic and international sphere.

Greek: A;ASDLFJALDKJVADFHJ Can someone please inform me why I thought it'd be COOL to know this shit? We're doing Homer, and wow ok, I don't even have a full grasp on regular Ancient Greek, so now we're doing the EVEN OLDER Ancient Greek? Our teacher claims that doing Homer, knowing Greek, is easier than doing Beowolf, knowing English. OK BUT HE IS ASSUMING I AM ALREADY FLUENT IN GREEK :(

Linguistics: So, this class pretty much confirmed for me two things: One - I am a language GEEK. I may not be good at it, but I do love it so. Two - I have a ~thing~ for teachers. :/ As long as they're relatively young, and not even necessarily that good-looking I will probably have a bit of a crush on them. Anyway, it also helps that this prof is a huge geek and hilarious. We watched a clip of Star Trek: The Next Generation in order to demonstrate social cues in language. *shakes head*

Also, I stole this from dr_hate. Because I felt like it.
