So I have a dilemma

After tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy, I am just SO TORN about what currently running show to call my favorite. I mean, Veronica Mars will always be Veronica Mars. But I mean, excluding the most current episode and Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner, this season has, dare I say it, sucked the big one. (oh look, I dared ( Read more... )

Oh god, Kirsten. You're going to make me rant, are you? I'm sorry for the following outburst, but I have to say it.

How can I not like Meredith and Derek? Easy... he's a complete asshole. I didn't really start hating him until Addison came back, but I NEVER liked him. From the very beginning, he kept practically stalking Meredith to get her to date him. She from the beginning made it clear it was just a one night stand, and you'd think the guy would be okay with that. THEN she finds out that he's her BOSS and that's WRONG so she keeps saying no. And he keeps bugging her. And when they finally DO get together again, SHE'S COMPLETELY OFF THE WALL DRUNK. I mean like totally trashed. And he isn't. He's completely sober. And then he has the balls to keep saying that she took advantage of HIM.

THEN, with Addison, he NEVER tells Meredith? And his entire argument is "Well, she did it first! *whine*" Fine, that's fine, you separated from her, but at least TELL Meredith!! And then when Meredith tells him it's over between them, he keeps bugging her to forgive him and get back together, so when she finally says she wants him back, he's like "oh wait, nevermind, I have to try to make this work"

And then his excuse is that he had 11 years with Addison and he can't just sign that away without second thoughts. THAT'S WHAT LEAVING NEW YORK AND LIVING ALONE IN SEATTLE FOR 6 MONTHS WAS FOR. So then he goes back to Addison because he THINKS it's the right thing to do, but it completely is NOT. Addison still loves him, but she told him that she wouldn't stay if she didn't have a chance of him loving her back. LET HER GO THEN IF YOU DON'T REALLY LOVE HER. He's only hurting Addison by staying but not actually trying despite all the times she tries to make it work. He's hurting Meredith by leaving her. And he's hurting himself by not being with who he wants. It's not noble, it's stupid.

And then Addison continuously takes all the times he hurts her by still obviously being close to Meredith. And then he tells her he still loves Meredith and that he will even though he's with her. And expects her to just take that and not at all be upset by it. He's completely taking advantage of the fact that Addison is trying to please him, with the trailer, the elevator rides with Meredith, the refusing to budge with anything, the stupid DOG, and then tells Addison that SHE'S passive aggressive. Um. Says the freaking blackest pot I've ever seen.

The thing that makes it all worse is that you're supposed to think that it's romantic and self-sacrificing for him to be with Addison when he loves Meredith. *pulls out hair*

And THIS may be the longest comment in history. ^_^;; sorry, I get really passionate about the subject. But you know, it's your opinion and all that and you're entitled to it. I just.. have my own. o_0;

And then he has the balls to keep saying that she took advantage of HIM.

Haha, I think it's supposed to be a joke. She did take advantage of him, but in a drunken state. He's joking. Being an ass, because on tv, girls like assholes. It's a shame, I know. But still.

I think he's funny. Addison still pisses me off though.

Is it weird that we are so obsessive about a TV show?

I know that it's supposed to be a joke, it just annoys me arg. She didn't take advantage of him though, and he didn't take advantage of her. It was a freaking one night stand. *kicks him*

I think I've had so much practice with Buffy and Veronica Mars that it's weird for me NOT to obsess.
