(no subject)
I really want a digital camera. I'm jealous of my friends always being able to take pictures. *pouts* But at least they share with me!
This weekend has been really good so far. Yesterday Sameera's parents took us out to the Cheesecake Factory and I had a nice non-dorm dinner. And then today we went to an Indian restaurant to celebrate a belated Diwali. Which is the Indian New Year, in case you didn't know. The restaurant was called Viceroy of India. I immediately thought of Star Wars.
On the way back, we were on the El train, and we committed a crime :x The train cars all have maps in them, so that people know what stop is coming up and stuff. They had these really spiffy new plastic ones, and we all took one. I got the one that has all the stops on all the different lines. It's awesome. I really need to put up my Sarah and Serenity posters and my Northwestern pennant, and then take pictures of my room. It finally feels near complete. All I need is pictures after I get back from home.
Today's Foxtrot is the best Foxtrot ever.
I totally went through and did it. It works, they're all there. *nods*
I finally saw the new Willy Wonka. I like its storyline better than the old one, but I think I like Gene Wilder as Wonka better. He was creepier. Johnny Depp was just, weird. But then, I think Wonka shouldn't be creepy and should just be weird, so then Depp IS a better Wonka, but oh well. I just really love that scene from the tunnel when Wilder is singing "There is no way of knowing where we are going.." it's super creepy awesome. But I'm really glad they used the glass elevator in this movie. And also the whole weird thing with Wonka's past was awesome. And the remixed Oompa songs were hilarious.
I REALLY REALLY need to write letters and send packages and stuff. GOOD LORD. I've got at least 4 letters to write, 5 postcards from SUMMER to send, and two packages. Hopefully I'll catch up on most of it tomorrow.
I have a perpetually burned part of my tongue from constantly drinking really hot chai tea lately. Everytime it kind of almost heals, I burn it again. I did it again today. And then, I had an apple pie from McDonald's and it was super hot, and I burned it again. Yooney got a video of me on her camera of me looking like a dork blowing on it and burning myself anyway. At least Amanda looked cute blowing on hers. :D
