U of M LOST!!!
Haha. I'm happy. *is still holding irrational grudge*
Classes started back up again today. My new math class is going to suck. Can not understand the teacher at all. Took me half the class to realize he was saying "region S" and not "ribbon S", and that was after he wrote it out.
Latin is the same thing, just new chapters. I still think my Latin teacher is really cool, and will be sad to see her go next year. :( She wants a better job. Which is understandable because NU is being mean to the Classics department and really lowering the budget.
Today, in class, we were learning about the passive tense. And we were using the verb "amo, amare, amavi, amatum" for a sample conjugation. It means "to love." So, we get to amabitur, which is "he, she, it will be loved."
Magistra Zuber: And amabitur means?
Kid: She will be loved.
Class: *giggles*
Magistra: Yes, he, she, it will be loved. *looks around* Why is that funny?
Class: It's a song..
Magistra: Oh, is it popular? Am I getting old?! DAMN. I listen to Classical music now.. I am old, aren't I? *looks very distressed*
Kid: It's okay, you teach classics, so it makes sense for you to listen to it.
Magistra: .. I'm old. I used to be cool! I used to listen to.. some.. radio stations, I can't remember.
Awww. She's not really that old. She's maybe at most mid-thirties. And looks younger than that. She looks like she could be in college herself. Which, technically she is, because she's writing some dissertation.. but anyway.
