WHOA. New format. That's awesome! The create a poll thing is right there! I'll post a poll to mark the occasion. And now I don't have to click that other options thing for my user icon and stuff. Awesome.
Anyway. First day of classes today. Gah. My first class was at this building called Lunt Hall, and I walked past it. Since it's a math class, I'll honor it and use math to define it. If my dorm to this class is a distance of x, then I walked 2x, realized what I did, and walked -x to the building. x_x <-- =P My teacher is Romanian. It's cool. He talked about the Olympics for a bit. And how they dominated gymnastics.
In my Latin class, we learned about a month's worth of high school language grammar in one 50 minute session. Which I guess is good and bad. Seeing as though I can base some of the Latin off of Spanish, it's easier than it would be. But she did have us naming nouns. She's like.. "Can anyone name a noun? How about an adjective?" Which is just.. weird.
Yesterday, my roommate and Yooney, who lives across the hall, went to downtown Evanston and there was this guy standing outside the Whole Foods store. He was a monk, like our age.. and he had one of the monk bindis on his forehead, with the white line. He tried giving us books and was accepting donations, but we didn't want it so we said no. Then he's like... "You're Indian, right?" to me, and I'm like "Yes." and he's like "So you've heard of this book?" I shake my head.. and he's like "No??" in a surprised tone. Yes, people... I am the worst Indian. I don't know Indian music, I don't know Indian movies, I don't even know Indian politics and stuff. So. Bah.
