Lost Cause

This show follows Jonathan Smith, a man of many talents, who is for hire for everyone who is willing to pay.

We follow him on his various jobs, see him becoming a father to a daughter he hasn’t had contact with in 15 years, taking responsibility to train a kid he picked up on the street and trying to defend his place in the business when a rival starts to turn his already chaotic life into a disaster.

All this while also working as a go-to-guy for an Interpol Agent that not only uses him for his regular dirty work but also has him help fighting a personal Vendetta.

Turn in Monday at 10pm to watch this witty action packed new show.

Jonathan Smith played by Bruce Campbell

To be able to provide for his family, Jonathan quit school early and starts working to make the much needed money. Without having graduated, he takes the jobs as they come, allowing him to learn skills of any sort.

After his parents passed and his marriage failed, Jonathan tries to pick up the pieces that are his life, soon realising, that maybe having no graduation is not the worst thing when having a variety of skills. That combined with street smartness and a “nothing to lose” attitude helped him making a name for himself in the shadowy part of the world.

No questions asked, he gets the job done. Even thou he is a crook for hire, he still tries to live by some what of a moral codex, trying to avoid seriously harming or hurting people if he can.

Katie Donald played by Kristen Bell

Katie grew up with just her mother thinking her father died when she was still a little girl. When her mother died she found some letters and cheques of her father that were quite recent, making it clear that he was very much still alive.

Of course Katie went looking for the man she wanted to have in her life for so long, just to find out that the hero she always thought he was is everything but.

Whilst struggling with what Jonathan does for a living and finding out more about what happened between her parents a long time ago, Katie is set to build a relationship with her father.

Thomas Lincoln played by Jason Statham

Thomas Lincoln- a lot younger and a lot more ruthless- that’s Jonathan Smith biggest Rival. Thomas does not show any pity for his victims, neither does he care what he has to do to them as long as he gets them talking in the end.

His background lies in the Navy where he has been part of one of the most dreaded black-ops teams. After an “incident” he decided it was time to leave and look for some work without having people constantly telling him how to his job.

He soon finds his place in the private sector where he and Jonathan meet on a job. With Jonathan still being “The Man” in the business and getting a lot of work, Thomas decides it’s time for the old man to retire.

Daniel played by Bradley James

A rich spoiled kid that came from Britain to the U.S. using his Daddy’s credit card. After his son recent escapade his father decides it’s time for a lesson and cuts Daniel off completely. Stuck in a foreign country with no money and no job Daniel struggles to get by.

After watching Jonathan accidently kill someone, he helps him getting rid of the body only to blackmail Jonathan into giving him a job.

Jonathan soon discovers that Daniel with his looks, charms and arrogance turns out to be a real asset, so he keeps the kid around.

Unfortunately Daniel acts a bit too reckless and greedy at times, forcing Jonathan to make a decision that could affect the future of both of them as well as Katie’s.

James Sterling played by Mark Sheppard

Happy to have made it to Interpol, Sterling soon finds that being the law also has its downsides. Hands tied by paragraphs, forms and strict-to-the-book supervisors, Sterling has to think of other ways to get some of his information.

With Jonathan Smith he thought he had found the perfect guy to be his eyes and ears as well as muscles when needed. He also uses Jonathan to keep track of the “Leverage”- Crew, hoping to find a reason to bust them and get them of the street. Good deeds and favours aside, at the end of the day, they are criminals.
