Forgot about this thing...
Well it's been awhile... so I've selected some choice updates:
I'll be in Columbus all summer working and taking classes. I'm subletting this girl's apartment that's in the sorority I'm in. (Oh yea, I actually went through with getting initiated and all.) I'm not sure where I'm working... that might be an interesting adventure ;-) I do know that I have to spend a significant amount of time practicing, gigging, jamming, etc. and balance that with making enough money to pay for rent. Hmmm... oh well, we'll see what happens!! It should be an interesting summer, I have plans to do some traveling to New York, possibly California, and King's Island. I'm really afraid of not have concrete plans.. but it's definitely teaching me a lot about letting go of expectations and just doing one task at a time.
Jazz Lab concert is tomorrow night, parents are coming to see it:) I haven't seen my family since Easter weekend.. so I'm excited. Although, I guess my dad's medication is off, so it might be a little awkward.. oh well.
I might be treasurer of SAI.. yeaa.
I had my first experience with being the leader of a combo, it was really fun, I got good feedback, and it gave me confidence! Too bad I can't hold on to that level of confidence all the time. Ahh what a life. I either feel like I'm on solid ground or that the world is crumbling all around me and that I'm going to majorly fuck up and that I won't be successful in life. Yay.
Grades/classes are going well.. I'm really nervous for my jury.. it is in a couple of weeks and I have like half of what I'm doing memorized. My teacher said I'm moving too slow.. and that just completely messed my head up.. so now I can't get any work done. I really hate him sometimes.
Him, is still an idiot.. basically his mom is now referred to as the devil. Long story, he had his recital a couple of weeks ago. It is a tradition to have a reception afterward.. generally people reserve rooms for this. Well unfortunately the rooms that He wanted were both reserved by SAI for our initiation (2 months in advance btw) So He didn't care and set up his reception in the room anyway. Laura had to break the news to his mom and she went crazy and started banging her head on a car... and crying; making a big scene.. I had escaped to a practice room during this point because I did not want to be tossed in the middle of a Jewish mother's pride and Laura's. So Laura and Alison tried to bargain with His mom but she wouldn't move her ass out of there at all, basically the whole thing ended with insults, crying and a big delay for the entire SOM. Yay. VERY glad I'm not involved with him.. what the hell was I thinking.
Jodie's moved back in, she broke up with her "boyfriend."
I was kinda stalked by this creepy guitar player. Milo's going out with Liz Neer!! yay! (christy you so missed your chance!)
I got some really cute clothes from Forever 21!! woohoo!
I'm completely broke.. I keep spending money on jazz and clothes.. I really need a job.
Umm ohh craziness occurred with trying to find an apartment for the fall.. long story.. basically I'm waiting to see what will happen. I might just live in the dorms AGAIN. (shoot me)
That's enough.. I should be practicing but it's stormy out.. and I'm a wuss.
