Quick Movie Review: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Release Date: 22 May 2008 / MPAA Rating: PG-13 / Running Time: 2 hrs., 2 min.) was enjoyable. I liked visiting with Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones once again. It felt like an ending - at least I hope it was an ending and not a passing of the baton to Shia LaBeouf. LaBeouf did a good job but he is no Harrison Ford. He just does not have the gravitas. I enjoyed Cate Blanchett and Ray Winstone. I especially enjoyed John Hurt. Karen Allen was okay. The plot was even more out there than the previous movies but still contained the usual Indiana Jones' troupes.

I would rank the Indiana Jones movies in the following order:
(1.) Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
(2.) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
(3.) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
(4.) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) - Short Round and Kate Capshaw ... Need I say more?

RECOMMENDATION: If you enjoyed the series of movies and are feeling a bit nostalgic, I would recommend renting this movie.
