Gabe, aged 4, is entertaining playmates Lucas, 5 and Caleb, 3.
Lucas: "This is a different dog! Where's your big black and white dog?"
Gabe: This is Jeannie. Crash died, he had something wrong with his blood. We buried him in the back yard."
Lucas: "Cool! Can we unbury him?"
Gabe: "I don't think so-- Grandpa would be mad if we messed up the yard. But we can stand on the piled-up dirt!"
