So, I downloaded the RTCW patch 1.4. It's nice and all, and it works in the server I've been playing on recently (you have a maximum number of lives, and once you're dead, you're dead), which prevents people from exiting the game and reentering to start over, based on IP address. However, none of the servers I play on have 1.4. Great, so I uninstall RTCW so I can reinstall it and start over. Put the CD in, and it freezes everytime I try to install it. Then I remember having this problem during the semester. So, I'm out of RTCW now. It's probably a good thing, I was doing pretty poorly recently. Though, several people recognized me, despite not playing for a month or two, which is pretty cool/pathetic. My poor playing is probably cause I'm aggressive and not used to the maximum number of deaths idea. Eh, excuses. Guess I'll just have to wait until I go back to NJIT to download it.
I've been playing Sonic Mega Collection Plus a lot too. I've beaten Sonic 1, 2, 3, 3&K, K, Mean Bean Machine, and 3D Blast. I was almost finished with the first Game Gear game, but the game reset, oddly. I started Spinball, but I remembered that being able to beat it once was pure luck, save states or not (and there are save states in this collection, just not as quick as an emulator), and stopped there. I still have several games to unlock, but ridiculous things are required in order to unlock them. You have to open and close each and every game 50 times to unlock essentially everything. They couldn't make it something like "beat Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles" to unlock Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Nope, you have to open them both 20 times.
Resident Evil 4 will be released for PS2 later this year. Good, I was worried I might have to buy it on GameCube.
The Aviator sucked. The rest of you can go to hell.
Meet the Fockers was good. This coming from someone who has no sense of humor and generally hates comedies.
School starts in less than a week. How depressing is that? I happened to like staying home, playing videogames, watching movies, listening to music, and going to work to get money, with the occassional hanging out with people.
I've started looking back on the music of 2004. I promise I'll have a list/recommendations before school starts up. Not that anyone cares, but it'll be one of the few goals I accomplish this break.
Gary Hughes - "Once & Future King" parts 1 & 2 are awesome CDs. How often do you get a double CD based on King Arthur? Who doesn't like King Arthur? If you want, download "Dragon Island Cathedral" or "Kill the King" from me (one from each CD). It's like Ayreon's The Human Equation but a little more focused on guitar and much catchier. I can't say anything about lyrics seeing as how I can't find them anywhere, but I can't imagine them even touching The Human Equation. Like THE, it has several singers (some from: Symphorce, Edenbridge, Rainbow/Yngwie Malmsteen, Diamond Head) comprising of the cast of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Lancelot, Morgana, Merlin, Sir Galahad, King Aelle, Nimue, Mordred, etc. Hell, it even has Arjen Lucassen himself on the damn CD (keyboards). However, unlike THE, usually there's only one singer per song, with only two exceptions - one between King Arthur and Guinevere in "At the End of the Day" and the other being between Merlin and Nimue in "Believe Enough to Fight." It sounds more prog rockish than prog metal, but that's not a bad thing. It's got some definite metal moments though. I intend on buying it, but Vintage Vinyl was selling the first part for $32.99, and regardless, it sold some time in the last few days.
I cleaned my desk today. I really need to exchange my coins for bills. But I'm too lazy to wrap them and I don't feel like losing $20 to some stupid machine for convenience >:o
Why is it that I sometimes feel like I have to post in LJ, despite having nothing worth saying?
