Yea, I knew I wouldn't be good at this "make an entry every day" type of thing.  I forget, don't have time, or some other lame excuse.  So, let's move on to #4.

4.  What was your first fandom love(s)?  Your first ship(s)?Well, my first fandom love, and basically only fandom love is Supernatural.  I never really knew such a thing existed, fandom ( Read more... )

Yes, Supernatural and Sam and Dean are very special. There's nothing else out there quite like it.

The writers didn't handle the ending of the Lisa and Ben's storyline well. It didn't make sense, because others in their lives would remember that Dean exists and what if she has pictures or other reminders of him? Lisa and Ben wouldn't have Dean to turn to if demons or monsters went after them again, which leaves them even more vulnerable.

Fics where they're a couple or meet each other again is a much better way of handling their story. I'm glad you enjoy that.

So true, Lisa & Ben were not handled well. I would imagine that when Castiel wiped their minds I'm thinking he probably went through the house and had everything removed that would remind them of Dean. We just didn't see him do that, but it would have been nice to at least have a sentence or two that he cleaned the house as well. But, I agree with you, everyone know that these two people are special to Dean, so whether they remember him or not, they are still vulnerable to monsters. Now, even moreso because they wouldn't know how to protect themselves, let alone why these things are attacking them. If he had to wipe their minds, just wipe their memories of the last week or however long Lisa was held captive. Dean hated the way Ben looked at him after that incident, okay, so just take out the memories of this incident. That way, Ben wouldn't hate Dean and these two could still defend themselves should monsters attack them again. They both deserve to have their memories and Dean, more importantly, deserves to have them remember ( ... )

I don't know if Cas has the ability to track objects and remove them, but it's an interesting idea. Dean only requested that their memories be removed. Either way, other people knew that Dean had been part of Lisa and Ben's life. They could ask if she's heard from Dean. And yes, they're more vulnerable to monsters. Also, what exists in Lisa's mind instead of the year she spent with Dean? The more I think about it, the more it doesn't make sense. That's true, Cas could've just removed memories of the incident. Like you say, they deserved to have their memories of Dean.

True, other people knew of Dean and they could easily have asked about him. And yes, what do Lisa and Ben remember for that year if not Dean being in their lives. I'm surprised Cas did it, wiped their minds because that's messing with timelines. And didn't they say when they go back to the past do mess with the timeline cuz you'll screw everything up. Wouldn't that work, too, for present day? Oh the rabbit hole that you end up going down to do that task.

Exactly. People who knew about Dean didn't have their memories erased so they could easily talk about Dean to Lisa. Cas didn't change the timeline or the past, he only erased their memories. The events of that year with Dean still happened.
