Bowling for Colombine
I have never been so ashamed to be an American is my entire life. My whole life I wasbrought up a proud American. If I would have known what I know now, I would have fled this country a hell of a long time ago.
Since our history began we have biased the whole world. We assassinated democratically elected leaders and placed dictators in almost every country but our own. Let me just say that we can't rule our own damned country. Everytime we have placed a leader in another country, including our own Noriaga (SP), we have slaughtered thousands. These "little" incidents are either a. not reported to the US Public at all, or b. given to us as half truths, if not all lie.
They tell us here in the States that when we bomb, it is warrantedand we only hit military facilities. In all actuality we are hitting schools and hospitals. This is so sickening to me and certainly not how I was brought up to percieve our great Country. What happened to " bring your poor, withered masses" ? Instead I learn that we other countries sick and and there children. Like sneaky cowards.
I know now why the Iraq's danced as your masses died on Sept 11. We have slaughtered over 500,000 of thier children. Just as the families here wanted retribution, so do they. I am not saying what they did was right by any means, but consider what we would do if they did the same to us.
What about our two-faced stand points on issues, also something the American Public never sees. For Example, we gave money to Iran to kill Iraq and then gave Saddam money to kill the Iranians. Money and weapons they used to arm against us. How about when we trained Bin Laden and the Taliban from our CIA to kill of Russian Militia. The CIA secretly gave them 3 billion, while people here are homeless, which they then used to attack us on Sept. 11. We fed the fire ladies and gentlemen, but we bitch when it burns. All of this still unknown to us that elect the officials that make these decisions.
The same day the President orders death to women and children in Russia, Columbine explodes. Who is blamed? Marilyn Manson! I dont like him personally but if you want to blamne someone for your childs problems blame the man who starts the violence not the one who subsides it through music.
This all caused by one movie, this movie opened my eyes so wide, I cryed most of the night and had to write this before I could even sleep. I want everyone to know that this is not the way the American people want to be portrayed. We are blinded by the media which is fed to us. We only see what they want us to.
