I've been meaning to do a big book post for, oh, a year and a half now. This will not be that post.
However, I did finally start reading Last Call by Tim Powers, and while I'm not that far into it yet, I'm seriously digging it. I've been meaning to read it for years (I think because it was cited as an inspiration for Unknown Armies) and it is definitely scratching the itch that I had hoped it would.
