Diggers Hotline Called: Check (they seem to have marked the location of our underground power lines, I'm not clear if there's more to be done...)
Power Company Called: Check (though they haven't gotten back to me yet - they need to inspect and then probably do some cutting first)
Spray Perimeter of House in Anticipation of Displaced Carpenter Ants: Check
The pest control guy came by tonight on very short notice - since I want to be ready to go with the tree removal asap - and we ended up having a really good chat about this and that (not ants). He lives in the neighborhood and is a pretty cool guy so I'm glad I met him. After he was done spraying, he gave me some free advice about the lingering pantry moths, too. (MOAR TRAPS)
