Is this your homework, Larry? Is this your homework, Larry?...You're killing your father, Larry!

I feel like I've been pretty emotional these past couple of days, and I can't even blame it on hormones.

I was really bored last night and was watching TV. There was nothing on, so I just kept flipping through the channels and watching bits and pieces of things. I stumbled upon Titanic and decided to watch the last 30 minutes of it. It has been years since I've seen the movie, but I still remember a great deal of it. I kept tearing up at random parts, especially when the music would play. My sister was in the room with me, so I had to hide my face so she wouldn't see. The movie is so sad because the disaster happened in real life and so many people died. And also, Leo did not have to die. He could have found another piece of wood to float on. Idiot. But then I cheered up when Rose said, "I'll never let go, Jack. I'll never let go." And then she lets go right away. She plies his frozen hands off of hers and pushes him into the ocean. Heh.

I'm currently reading Little Women and couldn't help tearing up with that one too. I've never read the book, but I have seen the movie version, so I mostly know what is going to happen. I was dreading the part where Jo rejects Laurie. Who could reject Christian Bale Laurie? Then, after that sad chapter, BAM, you learn that poor Beth is sick and dying. I can't help thinking of that one episode of Friends where Joey is reading the book. He gets very upset and tells Rachel that Beth is sick. Then Rachel suggests putting the book in the freezer. I haven't put my book in the freezer, but I did stop reading for the night.

I somehow managed to get a paper cut under my thumbnail and it KILLS.

My cat is licking my toes. She does this quite often, and it always feels very odd.

cat, friends, little women, titanic, emotional, paper cut
