Yessssss, I just bought tickets to see Flight of the Conchords at The Chicago Theatre on May 14! Man, that was a tense couple of minutes. The tickets went on sale at noon, so as soon as the clock turned to 12, I tried to order them. I got some seats right away, but then I was SO stupid and gave them up to try and get better seats. Too bad the weather has already turned. It was like 60 degrees at 9 a.m. this morning, but now it has dropped to 50. Damn you, weather! I'm sure I will have fun at the show.

All those extra service and facilities charges are such crap. I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a class-action lawsuit. But yay for getting tickets anyway. ;P

Ticketmaster can get away with it because they basically have a monopoly on ticket sales. Despite that, I am still very happy to have gotten the tickets (it sounds like the show sold out in less than 10 minutes). There are always scalpers, but I would not want to deal with them.

The amazing thing here is that Frank Thomas is still around. He was smacking around the Red Sox just last weekend. Ah, The Big Hurt.

Yay for FotC tickets - WTF at those service/facilities charges. It's like a mob racket.

Wow, I didn't even realize that Frank Thomas was still playing! My brother had such a boy crush on him. I should ask him if he still thinks about The Big Hurt.

Those charges are just ridiculous. Someone needs to compete with Ticketmaster.

Thanks! I really hope it does pass over us or it ends up being a very weak snow shower. At least now I am out of that cold office and in my much warmer home.
