I wish I could be done for the day. I really don't want to do any more work. Earlier today I had to leave and go to a committee meeting. My boss was supposed to come too, but she's sick, so I had to go by myself. I was kind of nervous going with out her, but the meeting turned out well. Now I have been going back and forth ))<>(( over the phone and over e-mail with this one woman about our stupid, mother flippin' petty cash. It has given me a headache. I think we FINALLY have it figured out. I suppose I'll take a brief break, and then get back to my other tasks.
This is obviously stolen from a bunch of people...
Question of the day:
If you had been born the opposite gender, what would you have been named?
Why are you named what you are named now? Are you named after anybody interesting?
(Named, not whatever you call yourself on LJ. I want to hear what other people chose for you to go through life as, not why "sexyinternetbabe2000" has deeper personal meaning to you.)
I honestly have no idea what I would have been named had I been born a male. I'll ask my parents when I see them tonight. Right now, my guess would be Dylan. That's my younger brother's name, so my parents might have given it to me first if I had been a boy. Another possibility could have been Joseph, which is my grandpa's name and the middle name of my dad and brother. One final name could have been Ray, which is kind of the male version of my name. My dad always calls me Rae anyways.
I am named Rachel because it is a name that both of my parents liked. End of story. Too bad it's not more interesting. My dad told me a long list of names that he wanted to give me, but they all pretty much sucked. I am grateful to my mother for rejecting them. The only ones I can remember now (which aren't that bad) are Terri and Terese. Terese is actually my middle name and that was my dad's grandmother's name. She died long before I was born, so I never met her. In this picture,
she is the woman standing to the right in the back row. I think she spelled her name with an "h" but my middle name does not have one.
