My Last Twenty-Something

Jul 30, 2009 23:58

My last twenty-something birthday was pretty mellow. Being a Thursday and having an exam coming next week, i really could not do much. However, i couldn't stop thinking. This is it. The next one is 30. I don't really care much about, but i acknowledge the change. In retrospective, my 20's have been very mellow. I basically spent them all at school. This is not a bad thing at all, but i think i should have more fun during my 30's. Maybe that is why i keep saying that i'm living my 20's as if they were my 30's, so i'll spent my 30's as if they were my 20's.

Today, i went to my second to last day of work at the IT help desk at school. I worked from 9 am to noon and then stayed in the library to read some. I made it an early day though. I was back home at 4 pm and at 6 pm, Jamie was there also making me dinner. It was a great day.

These a few things i see every day on my 10-minute walk from my house to the train station:

Nice looking church in my neighborhood.

Soccer!

This monster is the new Red Bulls stadium. It's huge!

The good ole Path train.

The transfer at Journal Square in Jersey City is the only thing that screws up my commute sometimes. Mostly on the way back though. During rush hours, this transfer takes only about 5 minutes.

The always over populated intersection of 34th street and 6th avenue. This is where i get off the Path train.

It is sad how the Empire State Building has totally lost its charm for me. Being able to see it from my house and see it everyday really did it for me.

This has been my home in NYC, haha. I've probably spend more hours here than in my apartment.

Another place where i've spent countless hours.

More shots of Harrison on my way home.

It's a good little town, but they really need to fix that clock.
