Since I've been gone...

So I arrived Wednesday back in Miami after visiting Andy in Dallas for a week. It was a wonderful time, and I even got to see Faith in Austin. We were on a film shoot there, but that is a long and winded story that I have told a billion times already. As for Dallas, it was great. The weather was schizophrenic though. One moment it would be pretty warm, and then suddenly a cold wind would blow in and the temperature would drop instantly. I do miss the cold. It's so hot here in Miami which makes it difficult to get into the Christmas season. Of course, Christmas is about Jesus being born, but it does feel ironic when one looks at snow decorations while sweating in shorts and a shirt.

I love Christmas either way, but I dream of one day having a white Christmas. I would absolutely love to spend it one year in a cabin in a mountain where the chance of snow was high. Oh to have a fireplace to hang stockings on. I adore winter clothes too. Sweaters and jackets are amazing, and I wish I could wear them more often.

But first one day, I would love to actually see snow. Yes, ladies and gentleman, I have NEVER seen snow. But before you think I am the strange one, consider this. Not only have I not seen snow, but neither have my mother or my brother. So I'm not completely alone here. I am convinced though that I bring the warmth and mosquitoes with me wherever I go. In the past, when my father would take us on vacations up north for the exclusive purpose of seeing snow, it would always snow and melt before we got there or snow after we left. It was quite frustrating.

Anyways, I did have a great time at Andy's place. It was fun to see him and his family again. Their house is so gorgeous. I miss Andy though. I wish he lived nearby sometimes, so we could have more madcap adventures. LOL. Or at least we could go see more movies together. We saw Atonement in Dallas, and it was a great movie. I love experiencing great movies with other people. Like last night, I saw "I am legend" with my brother, and it was fun being surprised with him. The movie was also great by the way.

I am saddened that "Juno" won't be playing anywhere near Miami until December 21st. It will then be playing somewhere in Fort Lauderdale. Bleck. What a drive. I will have to convince Vanessa to come with me. To make the drive for a great movie. Haha, that reminds me of the time Andy and I went to South Carolina to see "Pan's Labyrinth".

Man, I miss that guy.
