yesterday i had a pretty good laugh.
during pep band Anthony (the other freshmen trumpet player at OU) and I were looking over new music we had just gotten. pirates of the carribean has a four bar solo at the beginning. it also says soli right next to it. Anthony blurts out. oh cool, i finally get a solo. and i asked him a very simple and harmless question, "what if i wanted it?" and he said back to me. "that doesnt mean anything because im better than you" now instead of getting pissed off, or laughing in his face. i simply responded with fact. "really? Dr.'s Cunningham and Kroesche didnt think so" and he went on to make excuses about how he doesnt practice and how im more of a classical player than him. if he is truly better than me, that shouldnt matter. fucking idiot. i cant wait to tell Carlisle about this.
