Bang goes Korn...
I've just found out Head has left Korn. His reason is he's found God and no longer feels the band fits with his beliefs. He's not going to be replaced. Korn just can't work as a one guitar band, ALL their songs are reliant on the interplay between Monkey and Head. Time to say goodbye to one of the greatest metal bands of the last decade.
I know it's in fashion to slate them, but I hold my head up high and say I love Korn. They're one of my favourite bands. True, the later stuff isn't as good as the early stuff, but isn't that true of a vast number of bands? Even Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden released some shit albums, and the less said about St Anger the better. Not many bands can say they started a whole new type of music. Early Korn is truly amazing musically, and no band following them EVER managed to capture the true escence of the Korn sound.
Here's to Korn. I'd like to see you carry on and produce more great music, but sadly I just can't see how you can achieve it and still stay true to your unique sound.
