So I've been reading the past few days about the Music Publishers' Association (MPA) shutting down music lyrics sites. They say that distributing lyrics online is illegal (and also cuts into their profits, since the companies in the MPA don't usually offer lyrics online, only in print).
There is a number of music players that offer the ability to retrieve lyrics of songs, by looking them up in publicly available databases and websites.
Just another example of the industry that refuses to adapt to a new internet-driven world. And because it's too dumb to adapt, it has to bring the rest of the world down with it.
