--I'm at my sister's right now. She's really frail now. My brother made a comment on facebook that he expects she has two weeks left. Clint (my bro-in-law, her husband) and I are inclined to agree. My dad isn't keeping it together very well and my brother seems to not be doing that great either. He's also in charge of writing the eulogy. Our uncle is going to deliver it as there really isn't a chance that my brother would make it through it with becoming a sobbing wreck.
I've made arrangements with a part-time volunteer volleyball coach from last year that if something happens with my sister and I need to take off that she will run practice and/or games. Speaking of volleyball...
--Volleyball had two-a-days this week. We only have 20 girls in the program this year, which kinda blows. On one hand, knowing that we don't have a budget for a C-Team, I wish we had 25-30 turning out so we could make a couple cuts and keep a really strong JV. Or possibly force the athletic director to let me keep more girls and have a couple C-Team games added with the nearby schools.
Instead, we're keeping all 20 girls. We really only have 4 true varsity quality players and a couple who would most likely play a lot of JV and sit on the varsity bench for bigger schools or schools with stronger programs. We'll have a varsity of 8-10 girls with a few getting playing time, in a rotation, with my JV squad. My JV squad will give most of it's time to about 6 girls and another 5 or so won't get a heck of a whole lot, at least to start. They can always earn more in practice and improving.
Really wish we had that C-Team though, it works wonders. Case in point, it is official that one of my C-Team players from last year has made varsity, completely skipping JV.
--On top of volleyball and trying to make time to come to my sister's I've been moving to a new place. All my weekdays this week have been volleyball practice by day and moving by night. It sucks, I hate it, but I'm almost moved and love my new place so far. I feel comfortable so far and I hope that comfort will help me write music more frequently. If I'm not comfortable my process always seems to take longer.
Time to get to the hotel where my bro and parents are at and finally get some shut-eye. I've been exhausted all week.
