I just came on here due to boredom, but also wanted to talk about the new Mini Disc player i just got. Its a Sony. I received it (Brand new) via E-bay on Friday night. From then on, ive been downloading my cd collection on this sweet little machine. People are so into Ipod's, but i think they suck. Yeah so what, you can fit 1000 songs onto it. But is it durable? You can only fit 500 or so songs on the Mini disc's. But the sound quality of Md's are soooo much better than an ipod Hard drive. Ipod's are popular in America, while Md's are popular in Japan and the UK. Do they know something we dont? They know sound quality and they know crap when they come across it, and this is why many of them dont own Ipod's or Mp3 players. Also Mini disc players are alot cheaper and you can change discs any time you want. So bottom line? You can bring as much music with you as you like, without taking up much room in your pocket. The discs are tiny. My Md player came with a mini disc holder. If you wanted to upgrade your Ipod it will cost you a fortune, while you can pick up a 1 Gb Mini disc for $7.99 which will hold another 500 songs. Also, ipods skip like mad while Md players dont at all. They come with a G-shock protection, so if your jogging, working out or whatnot, it wont skip. The only problem ive heard of is that, the software for md's for ripping mp3's can be a little tricky. But that problem was also solved with the new Sonic Stage 3.4 download from the internet. So thats why i went with a Md player. Am i going to follow what everyone else is doing as far as music goes? Have i ever?? lol
