It has been a week since I officially moved into my house. Even though it is small, the water pressure is powerful, the air is refreshing, and the commute is pretty good. Hopefully I can get the place organized. We still need new door-locks, doorbells, and Book/DVD shelves. Work has been fine.
There was a power outage yesterday and as a result, we wandered the dark building. I was apprehensive because I had to fax my timesheet by 10am or else I wouldn't be paid for the week. I can't handle that because I already had one week off for the moving to Ridgefield thing. You all know what it is like to have bills to pay . . .
Kinda nervous today. Tomorrow is my interview. I am be interviewed by 6 people tomorrow for a permanent position. If i get this job, I ill have health benefits and tuition assistance. Planning to slowly obtain my Masters in Food Science Degree by taking a class per semester. That way when I get old, I still have an ace up my sleeve. Why food science instead of chemical engineering and such? I grew weary of pharmaceutical industry. You ever wonder why so many people want to go to the top with a pH.D? Cause they don't want to stay in the lab with all the carcinogens. They want to work higher up in the ladder in a cubicle or office away from the health threats that will catch up with them. With Food Science, I can at least breath a little and not think ever little thing is going to give me cancer or asthma. Everything has its dangers, but some are just obvious... so I am going to avoid the obvious threats.
