The End of my Dilemma over The Vest
Well, last night I was supposed to meet with Gary Sohmers of Antiques Roadshow. I decided that before things got too far, I should call my Cheryl and find out her real feelings on my dilemma.
After talking to Cheryl about it, I was happy to decide that I am DEFINATELY keeping it. She gave it to me for a reason, and I totally respect that. And her friendship is worth WAY more than money. And I'm sure if some nut offered my $25K, she would understand and have no problem sharing the money with me!
So, I called Gary Sohmers, and said thank you very much, but I'm keeping it. He's going to do an insurance appraisal on it it for me, and told me how to do a Letter of Authenticity. If he hears of anyone willing to pay big money for it, he'll call me then and see how I'm feeling about it. He does feel that it's a very important piece of rock history, and is at least glad to know where it is.
Right now, I'm feeling WAY better and know for sure that keeping it is the right thing. Aaron is disappointed because he's convinced that I would get a ton of money for it. But he understands. He won't mind having it hanging in our room! I mean, if we were rich, WE would buy it for a ton of money, you know? No I realize that the only reason that the thought of selling it entered my mind is because I was getting pressure from SO MANY people that I would be stupid not to sell it. Well, I guess money isn't as important to me as I thought it was.
But in my Quest of the Vest, I found out some really interesting stuff, and met some really cool people. I know have "pen pals" in England and Georgia that I email with every day. Fellow chick Randy Fans are hard to find!! And Rudy Sarzo is writing a book that should be out soon. Looking forward to that.
So, it will definately be the centerpiece for my Metal Shrine!! I can't wait! Hopefully I'll have everything together by the end of June to put it together when Aaron goes on his fishing trip.
Maegan has ANOTHER eye infection. She is just CHRONIC with them. I had to take her to the doctor again today and get antibiotics for it. Poor kid, she's a goopy mess.
This will be a busy week/month for me. Giants game tomorrow, COC & Motorhead on Friday, going away party for John Jr on Sunday, Birthday on Monday, Chrissy birthday party on the following Friday, my birthday party on the following Friday. Whew! Looks like another busy summer lining up already!!
I finally finished the Jenna Jameson book. What a great book! And what a sad life! Ugh. But I seriously need to check out some of her movies. She's fucken HOT! Not sure what I'll be reading next... I have a ton of books to catch up on...
