The doors to X's quarters opened with a quiet, familiar hiss - and the reploid's helmet flew into the room, making a wide arc in the air and landing in the far corner of the room

Alia could try and rationalize why she was here and probably not come up with any reasons that were good in her mind. But either way, she was here and she didn't want to turn tail and run now that she was standing right outside his door. Even if she wasn't sure what she was going to say if he was here, and raised a hand to knock. ".. Hey, X? You home?"
X froze, before slowly looking up from his hands and staring into empty space as he recognized the very familiar voice behind the door.
Alia. In another time, he'd love to see her knocking on his door, invite her into the appartment, ask how she's been doing over the last few days... But right now, with his hands being turned into a mess and Alia's love for worrying?
He was screwed. And not in a way he'd like to be.
"Oh, shit!" - A muffled curse echoed from behind the door, and then the sounds of hurrying footsteps followed them - X first rushing to the trashcan to throw out the bloodied bandages, and then to the medkit to bandage up the wounds so she wouldn't notice them immediately. Once that was done, the door in front of Alia finally opened.
"Hi, Alia..." - X asked, smiling in a failed attempt to hide that something bad happened. - "What a nice surprise. What brought you to my doorstep?"
Alia tapped the toe of her foot on the ground as she waited for the door to open, looking a bit worried as she heard X curse and the faint sounds of shuffling came from behind it. She managed to smile at X even if her worry only grew at the way he smiled - it seemed almost... fake. Flimsy.
"Just to visit, really..." She tilted her head curiously as she watched him, trying to figure out what was going on. "So how have you been, X?"
"I've been alright... A little busy, but alright." - X answered quickly, trying to dispell her worries. Right now, all he hoped for is that she wouldn't notice the bandages on his hands - the bleeding almost stopped by then, but X was sure that wouldn't stop Alia from laying the smackdown from hell if she'd notice.
"Um... Come on in." - He added, moving away from the doorway to let her into the appartment. - "Anything to drink? Tea, coffee?"
Alia's worries weren't completely dispelled as X answered her question, and she entered the apartment. She wanted to know what was wrong, and since he seemed so intent on not letting in on what happened it only made her wonder more. Looking at X, she gave him a smile again. "Tea would be great, actually."
"Okay." - He nodded, still smiling, before walking off to the kitchen. A moment later, his voice echoed from there - still as cheerful as before. - "What kind do you prefer this time of year?"
She glanced down at the floor, noticing a few drops of red that were definately out of place and bent down to examine them. Touching one revealed that it hadn't completely dried, and she recognized what it was - reploid coolant - their blood. Alia frowned slight as she stood up, wiping the blood across her fingers, as she wasn't about to wipe it on her pants.
Forcing a small smile, as her mind started putting things together, and leaned into the kitchen to cheerfully ask, "Need any help?"
X almost jumped in surprise, startled by her looking into the kitchen, before immediately putting up the same friendly expression from before.
"Oh? No, need to help. I've got everything under control." - He answered quickly, trying to act as if nothing happened. Lies - his hands were still damaged, and only more pain surged through them every time he tried to touch something. However, he wouldn't show it - not in front of Alia, she had enough worries as it was.
"Just relax, Alia... You're a guest, so let me do the job this time around." - He added, waving his hand at her casually - forgetting for a moment that the bandages and the wound beneath them still showed.
The look of worry instantly returned to her face as she saw the bandages and she moved to his side, gently placing a hand on the wrist of one of X's hands wondering whatever could have happened, almost touching his hand with her own free hand, but doesn't. "X, What happened to you?"
X froze the moment Alia placed her hand on his wrist - his mind desperately trying to make up a good story to tell... But what could he tell her - that he got burned while fighting some kind of ancient vampire in the middle of the void? Yes, like the lack of his sanity needed to be reminded of.
"It's... It's alright." - He finally answered, his voice a little shaky as he gently tried to move his hand away. - "I just got into a little trouble in the Nexus, and ended up burning my hands... It's nothing serious, really. It'll heal, so don't worry about it."
A small frown of worry crossed her face, her fingers lingering on his wrist but she lets him pull away as she listens. "I found blood on the floor... I know you'll heal, but a burn that's bad enough to bleed is serious." Her voice was soft and concerned. "That is more then a little trouble."
