[Aisling climbs up to the rooftop to join her. It takes her a little longer than it usually would for her, since with her abilities she could climb up there as easily as a squirrel could.]

Is your mother back home? You must miss her.

[Key shook her head.]

Key's mother passed away when she was very tiny--too tiny to remember. But Key remembers her voice.

Oh...that's too bad. My mother passed away too, a very long time ago.

But it's good that you remember her voice.

[Key looks at her, holding her knees in her hands.]

Key is sorry to hear that. She is sure we both had good mothers, though. Key's grandfather told Key that she used to sing to her a lot.

My mother used to sing, too. I learned from her.

Your mother sang to you as well?

Oh yes. All sorts of songs. Normal songs and songs that could let you do magic, too.

[Whoa, Key's never heard of magical songs. Which will be ironic, when she regains her powers.]

That's right! Songs have power. Especially if you know what the words mean.

Yes, but they won't work here. Do you want to hear one?

[Key nods.]

She would love to hear them.

Alright, then! This is a magic song. It won't do anything here, but I still like to sing it.

[All at once, she begins to sing.]

"You must go where I cannot..."

[When she finishes, she smiles, but there's a hint of sadness in it.

[Key listens, looks on in awe as she hears the words.]
