Call off the search party. I'm back bitches.
Let's see, what's happened in the last year....
Last time I posted, we were in the process of buying a house. We did, and I love it here. Being completely on our own took a little getting used to, but since our old landlord didn't do jack shit for us in the first place, there's not much of a change. It's nice to not have to worry about landlords, neighbors, anything. Nobody bothers us about anything, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Round about last October, Michelle and I started talking about babies...sooo, with little deliberation we got to making one. This last July, the 27th to be exact, we welcomed our second son, Julian Robert Small. He's a happy little bugger, and I'm glad to have him.
As far as everything else...
Living out here has put a dent in my social life..not that it was ever a good thing in the first place. I'm definitely healthier, not drinking like a fish and eating like a pig anymore. I don't see any of my old friends half as much as I used to, but hey, my door's open.
I tried unsuccessfully to get a band together last spring. I had met up with some high school buds, and we thought, why the hell not. Well, the music was great, but internal tension and drama tore that fucker right apart. I'm better off without, apparently. I'm still open to playing, but anything that happens will be casual. I don't have the time or energy to put into a full time band.
That ought to do it. See yinz all in a year.
