I've been listening to a lot of music from Jonathan Coulton lately. He's this guy that writes a song a week for his podcast. Most are hilarious and pretty good from a musical perspective. Some dude on youtube makes WoW music videos for them. I think his account is spiffworld if you want to check them out.
He also wrote the credits song for Portal, a game which I cannot recommend enough. You can get it for $20 on Steam, and I really doubt you'll do anything but enjoy the hell out of it. Its only 2-3 hours long too, so you can count on beating it.
The song itself is endlessly hilarious if you've played the game. It's sung by GLaDOS, the computer that taunts you in the game. Since rapidsearch is down, I'll provide the link some other time.
I got it as part of the Orange Box, which has all of the Half-Life 2 episodes on it, plus Team Fortress 2, and that game Peggle. I find Peggle an odd choice to package with a puzzle game like Portal, which turns the usually jovial puzzle game attitude on its head with incredibly black humor. Anyway, the whole thing was $50, so if you have some money to spend on video games, I'd suggest it.
School has been fine, I suppose. Things haven't gotten any better or worse, so I'm not sure what that means. Since I've decided not to be passive aggressive and complain on a blog, I'll say its been well enough.
I hope you all have an enjoyable week.
