Thanksgiving was nice. I didn't end up fighting with my parents too much, though we did end up sitting down to have a chat about my grades and what my educational future will be like if they suck. My life is basically like this: Either 1) I get good grades and go to Korea next semester, or 2) I get shitty grades and don't go anywhere next

And damn, you don't even study Korean formally do you? I thought you were only taking Chinese formally?

I took a Korean class at the Korean Cultural Center in LA, but I only attended like four of them. All of my Korean knowledge is basically self-taught, which probably explains why I'm still so bad at it XD

My life is full of comprehending more than I speak, sighs. I'm that way with Korean and Japanese the most, though.

If you had to choose one, which language would you focus on to potentially become fluent?

Gosh that's a tough one. I love the way Mandarin sounds, but I find Korean generally easier in terms of grammar and pronunciation. And my interest in Korea is stronger than my interest in China, so I guess... it would be Korean. :< My major is technically English, but I'm minoring in East Asian Studies.
