Patriots at work.
The Flaming Elvis himself, Pat Patriot will be here at work, along with (in theory) Steve Grogan and Steve Nelson for lunch and some photo stuff. Apparently we are an Official Sponsor of the New England Patriots.
The real important thing is that I may get to a pic taken with my childhood version of Superman, Steve Grogan.
My dad and I would watch the Pats games on the edges of our seats, waiting to see what miraculous thing Grogan would do. Would he connect with Irving? Would he hand off to Mosi? Would it all be for not as we get violated in the Superbowl versus Da Bears? Who cares, Steve was awesome in the true sense of the word.
This man is still regarded as one of the toughest S.O.B.'s to ever play for the Pats. He'd level someone with a block for running back, played with rib and neck injuries, and still holds a ridiculous set of records including most rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback, the Pat's all-time career passing leader with 3,593 attempts 1,879 completions, 26,886 yards and 182 touchdowns.
