I still have an AGP 4x/8x motherboard on my game PC. I am not about to build a whole new system, but I was wondering what video card would allow me to squeeze the last drops out of this 'antiquated' architecture ( Read more... )

Go with the ATI Radeon X1300 or the X1600, they are seriously sweet and they shouldn't cost THAT much, and really, it will give you a great performance boost.

Personally, I like the graphics/colors that come from the ATI cards over the nvidia cards and I've been using their cards for a while and the stability of their drivers are, IMHO, much better than the nvidia.

On the other hand, I have had nothing but problems with overheating and stability with ATI cards. I like your choice, it seems like a solid card.
