It's been a few days, so I figured I'd post something. Last weekend we were in Washington. We went to Legacies; it was fun, but very tiring. It's hard doing the whole flying to get to event thing, plus the time zone difference makes it hard for me to stay awake when most of the cool stuff is going on. Regardless, it was fun, and it was nice seeing people again. I just feel a little frustrated that there isn't enough time to see my non-Legacies friends. *sigh* Honestly, I think going home just makes me more homesick, but of course I'd rather make the trip than not. I really, really like going to event, but part of me feels like I ought to just go every other month, and instead visit my non-Legacies friends on my non-Legacies months. Blarg. Oh well, I'll figure it out.
School / work has been good. This week was quiz week, and my students did great. Between my two classes, I only had one low grade, the rest were B's and above, but a majority were A's. So, I was happy about that. My lecture was rough, since it was a topic / system I am not as familiar with as others (this week was the vestibular and auditory systems). I felt like I relied on my notes way more than I prefer, but my students seemed to be ok with it. Then again, they may have just been happy that I handed them back the quizzes today. *smile*
My sexy boy stayed home from work today, because he felt awful. My poor husband is so drained and sick! I feel a bit sick and under the weather too. We probably caught something during our travels. Blarg. It was rough today, feeling icky, since it was my long day (I have two classes, plus I teach), but I survived it. After my evening class, Josh picked me up and he and I had dinner together, just the two of us (Michael was watching Maddisyn). It was really nice to have some time with my darling; we talked about revising our idea for his wedding band since we decided to go with the custom ring maker we wanted to have make our rings before, when we first talked about getting married. We're keeping the same general idea, but he really wants something two-tone, and we couldn't get that with the other place we planned on having make his ring. Anyway, although today was tiring I managed to survive and keep looking forward to tomorrow, since I won't have any responsibilities other than attending an afternoon seminar (well, no teaching or class responsibilities). It's my nice catch-up day. So, I'm looking forward to that.
Anyway, I should get to bed. My sexy husband is all snuggled in bed asleep, and I think I should go snuggle with him.
Cheers!
