Poor US. Nice try, boys. I feel bad for them. :( But, OHMYGOD, I hate the damn sportscasters (besides the one with the cool Irish accent). Dissecting the game and complaining about EVERYTHING. Bruce Arena this, Landon Donavon that, crappy playing, poor decisions, wah wah wah. Just shut up. Unless THEY were on the field, they shouldn't be talking. Get your asses off your chairs, play against Ghana and then you can talk.
But I'm happy for Ghana. They're doing so well in their first cup. Their fans look so happy. Not bad for a group of world cup debutantes.
In other news besides World Cup...
I "offically" started my summer internship today at a small, local magazine. It went pretty well. My editor is young, nice and pretty. We (me and the other intern, who is also one of my good friends) met at her house, which was beautiful and in this quaint neighborhood. She kind of shot down ideas we both had for our respective fields (editorial for me and sales for her). Like the self centered college kids we are, we complained about it on the drive home and said talked about starting our own magazine. I think we're both so used to being in charge at the school newspaper, so having someone else tell us to do something is hard. Oh well. I think it will get better. I can already tell it's going to be a learning experience. More about it later.
